Delivery Policy
Fine Local Honey is a marketplace connecting customers with independent honey producers. Each producer manages their own delivery and sets their own policies. This page explains how delivery works.
Delivery Options
Producers on Fine Local Honey offer three delivery methods:
1. Collection
Pick up your order directly from the producer's location. This is often the fastest option and lets you meet your beekeeper in person! Collection details (address, opening hours) are confirmed after you place your order.
2. Local Delivery
Many producers offer hand delivery within their local area (typically 5-15 mile radius). The producer delivers to your door, usually within 1-3 days. Local delivery radius and pricing vary by producer.
3. Postal Delivery (UK-wide)
Orders can be posted anywhere in the UK via Royal Mail or courier. Delivery typically takes 2-5 business days. Tracking is provided where available.
Delivery Costs
Delivery costs are set by individual producers and shown at checkout. Typical rates:
- Collection: Free
- Local delivery: £0-£5 (often free over £15)
- Postal UK: £3-£5 (often free over £15)
Tip: Many producers offer free delivery on orders over £15. Look for the delivery details on each producer's profile page.
Dispatch Times
Most producers aim to dispatch orders within 2 business days of receiving them. Dispatch times may vary during busy periods (summer honey harvest) or due to product availability.
You'll receive an email notification when your order is dispatched, with delivery details and tracking (where applicable).
Ordering from Multiple Producers
If you order from multiple producers in one transaction, each producer will dispatch and deliver their items separately. Delivery costs are calculated per producer and shown in your cart before checkout.
Delivery Issues
My order hasn't arrived
- Check the estimated delivery timeframe in your order confirmation email
- Contact the producer directly (details in your confirmation email)
- If unresolved after 7 days, email us at hello@finelocalhoney.co.uk
I received damaged items
- Take photos of the damage
- Contact the producer immediately via your order confirmation email
- Most producers will arrange a replacement or refund

I need to change my delivery address
Contact the producer as soon as possible. If your order hasn't been dispatched, most producers can update the address. Once dispatched, changes may not be possible.
