Balerno sits where woodland, farmland and heather hills meet — which means three distinct honey seasons. A light spring blossom, a zesty Linden-led summer honey, and deep heather in early autumn.

I'm Colin, the beekeeper behind Balerno Honey. I started with a few hives and a lot of curiosity; it's grown from there. You'll find me at the monthly Balerno Farmers' Market. My bees do the hard work — I just try not to get in their way. I jar each batch separately so you can taste the unique favour profile of that season. No blending, no supermarket-style processing, no shortcuts, just proper local honey with all of the purity and delicate flavour notes intact. .
